Remembrance Day
On Friday November 10, in a moving service, our school remembered generations of Australian servicemen and women who have defended our values and freedoms in wars, conflicts, and peace operations. It was obvious to me that a great deal of time and effort was put into the lead up of the morning to ensure it was a respectful service. The manner in which our students conducted themselves during the service was a credit to those involved.
In Flanders’ Field the poppies blow
Between the Crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
