At Runcorn State School, students in Years 4 to 6 have the opportunity to learn Japanese through a comprehensive program delivered by our Specialist Japanese teacher. Each week, students participate in lessons, 60 mins in total that aligns with the current Australian Curriculum.
Our Japanese program goes beyond language acquisition; students are immersed in Japan's unique culture, offering insights into traditions and customs that are distinctly different from those in Australia. Learning a new language and understanding different cultures helps broaden students' perspectives, fostering empathy and global awareness.
As a multicultural school, Runcorn State School values the diverse contributions of every student. Through our Japanese program, we continue to nurture respectful relationships among students and staff, celebrating the richness of cultural diversity within our school community.
