The Runcorn State School Parents & Citizens Association (“P&C”) is a place where parents are encouraged to learn more about the school that their child attends and contribute to the education of their children. Meetings are currently held every third Monday of the month at 7pm.
Our objective is to promote the interests of and facilitate the development and further improvement of the school. One of our major functions is to assist with financial or other resources or services for the benefit of our students and/or school. Funds are raised via our fundraising, grant submissions and other ventures. The P&C have made contributions towards reading resources, intervention programs, music programs, IT and sports equipment – to name a few.
Without the P&C committee and more importantly our volunteer parents who contribute so much to our school we would not be able to provide assistance in the class-room on a daily basis for reading, rotation work and those that help escort children to swimming, excursions and camps. These are all part of our wider P&C volunteer family.
We are very proud to represent our school and provide assistance where needed. Our P&C community is very active and are always in need of some more hands. Everyone can contribute in some way. Remember, many hands make light work and communication is the key to success and as such, would encourage anyone with a suggestion to contact me either personally, via a note (addressed to the P&C President) left at the office, or via email on rsspcpresident@outlook.com. Strong partnerships make for better learning for our students.
